PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, South East Asia’s pioneering premium service airline, is fortifying its footprint in China by amplifying the frequency of its scheduled flights in Guangzhou. The airline, which previously operated three flights weekly, is now extending its service to seven flights per week.

This development follows swiftly on the heels of TransNusa’s significant milestone as the second Indonesian airline to initiate scheduled flights to Guangzhou. The inaugural flights commenced on November 16 earlier this year, departing from Terminal 3 Soekarno – Hatta International Airport at 18.10 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 12.10 am. Return flights from Guangzhou leave at 01.25 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, landing in Jakarta at 5.40 am.

In a remarkable move today, TransNusa has boosted the flight frequency on this route from thrice weekly to daily flights.

Under the leadership of CEO Datuk Bernard Francis, TransNusa has consistently achieved pivotal milestones, initiating its first international flight on April 14 of this year and swiftly expanding to four new international destinations within eight months, extending its reach from South East Asia into the broader Asia Pacific region.

Datuk Bernard Francis, CEO of TransNusa Group, attributes the airline’s success and rapid expansion to their tailored business model and a highly experienced management team.

“Thanks to our dedicated team, we have not only increased flight frequency to Guangzhou but have also introduced two new Chinese dishes—wonton noodles and Yongchow fried rice set meals—to our menu,” stated Datuk Bernard. He further highlighted TransNusa’s provision of blankets for purchase on their Jakarta – Guangzhou flight to enhance passenger comfort.

“To ensure passenger convenience, we’ve established a dedicated customer call center in Canton, in addition to our Jakarta center,” explained Datuk Bernard.

Looking ahead to 2024, Datuk Bernard outlined plans to introduce three to four new international destinations, emphasizing a focus on the Asia Pacific region and the consolidation of their presence in Singaporean and Malaysian markets. Domestically, TransNusa passengers can anticipate the revival of specific routes in Nusantara.

For the Jakarta – Guangzhou route, TransNusa employs its Airbus A320 to provide a comfortable five-hour journey for passengers. The A320s boast a 174-seat configuration, affording travelers 30-31 inches of legroom.

“Our international flight services surpass those of a typical low-cost carrier. Hence, the experience flying with TransNusa to international destinations differs significantly from our domestic routes, where we operate as a low-cost airline,” concluded Datuk Bernard.
