Travelport and easyJet forge deal for expanded content across agencies

Today, Travelport, a global technology company facilitating bookings for numerous travel suppliers worldwide, and easyJet, Europe’s foremost airline, announced the signing of a new content distribution agreement. This collaboration extends access to enhanced easyJet content to all of Travelport’s agency customers, now including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) for the first time.

The multi-year agreement ensures that travel retailers utilizing Travelport+ will have unrestricted access to all easyJet fare types and bundles, along with ancillaries, without any limitations imposed by agency channels. The inclusion of easyJet’s Standard Plus fare bundles (featuring seat selection and a large cabin bag) and Essential fare bundles (including seat selection and a checked bag) alongside the existing fares of Standard, Business Inclusive, and Flexi, significantly broadens the options for both business and leisure travelers.

Agents using Travelport+ will benefit from a unified platform where they can easily browse and compare easyJet’s products. This streamlined process enables agents to effortlessly upsell and tailor offers for their travelers. Travelport’s advanced servicing capabilities also ensure seamless management of easyJet bookings, including modifications and exchanges.

Dominic Tucker, Senior Distribution Manager at easyJet, highlighted the collaboration’s aim to provide more personalized offers and superior service to customers globally. The partnership with Travelport enhances choice and connectivity in the market, allowing travelers flying easyJet to customize their experience and include additional services, whether for leisure, business, or both.

David Gomes, Head of Regional Air Partners, EMEA at Travelport, emphasized that the new deal allows Travelport-connected agencies to access easyJet’s dynamic offers effortlessly. This expanded accessibility empowers agencies to book the best options for travelers based on their specific needs and preferences. By introducing easyJet content to online travel agencies and travel management companies through Travelport+, the collaboration aims to simplify the process for travelers worldwide, enabling them to effortlessly plan, book, and manage their trips to any of the numerous destinations served by easyJet.
