Tripbtoz wins prestigious award at 2023 Tourism Venture Day

Tripbtoz, led by CEO Jiha Jung, won the Minister’s Award at the ‘2023 Tourism Venture Day’, marking a significant milestone in tourism innovation.

Tripbtoz, under the leadership of CEO Jiha Jung, recently announced its prestigious achievement of receiving the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award at the ‘2023 Tourism Venture Day’.

This significant event took place on December 20 at Seoul’s Four Seasons Hotel. It was an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST, headed by Minister YU In Chon) and was organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO, led by President KIM Jang Sil). The ‘2023 Tourism Venture Day’ serves as a vital platform for tourism professionals to network, share innovative ideas, and discuss the advancement of the sector. The event, which saw more than 180 attendees including MCST First Vice Minister JEON Byung Geuk and KTO President, celebrates and acknowledges companies that have made noteworthy contributions to the tourism industry over the year. This year, 34 companies were honored, with Tripbtoz earning the accolade of Best Growth Tourism Venture Company.

Tripbtoz’s notable contribution to the enhancement of South Korea’s tourism industry has been significant. The company achieved a remarkable KRW 130 billion in total transactions in 2023, including sales to international travelers. Their innovative approach melds user-generated short-form video content with hotel booking services, effectively bridging a gap in the market from discovering destinations to reflecting on experiences.

Previously, in 2020, Tripbtoz was honored with the Minister’s Award at the “Challenge! K-Startup Grand Final 2020”, a joint ministry startup competition, and was recognized as the “Best Job Creation Company in Tourism Ventures” with the MCST Award. In 2022, they were celebrated with the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 49th Tourism Day Ceremony.

CEO Jiha Jung expressed gratitude for the award, attributing it to the unified efforts of the Tripbtoz team. He emphasized the company’s commitment to innovating and connecting travelers globally with unique and groundbreaking travel services.
