As the hurricane season begins, challenging weather conditions could become problematic, bringing hurricane-force winds and heavy rainfall.

It is best that people in the affected areas in parts of the Eastern Caribbean should keep updated with the weather, especially this week.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) noted that tropical storm Bret resulted in marine warnings in parts of the Atlantic.

Furthermore, AccuWeather’s forecast reported that tropical storm Bret managed to maintain 40 mph sustained winds.

The forecast said that the tropical storm was forecast to move west. While it could become a hurricane, there is a possibility.

The weather report explained that June could become unusual to develop tropical storms in the south-central Atlantic.

However, the report noted that the temperatures in the Cabo Verde Islands and the Windward Islands became ideal for developing the said tropical storm.

As the tropical storm developed, the latest report noted that it could likely impact parts of the eastern Caribbean this week.

People in the said areas should keep updated with the weather conditions this week due to the chances of heavy rainfall.

The weather report added that the storm system could likely cause isolated flooding. The rainy conditions could result in slower commutes and travel disruptions.

Weather in other parts of the United States

Furthermore, the National Weather Service reported that parts of the Upper Midwest and Texas could experience possible heat conditions.

The challenging heat could lead to heat-related concerns in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, the forecast noted that portions of the Southeast could face the threat of flooding due to heavy rain. Gulf Coast and Dakotas could anticipate severe thunderstorms.

Based on the NWS Weather Prediction Center forecast, parts of the South US face troublesome heat conditions, as heat warnings and advisories were present in Southern Mississippi and New Mexico.

Prolonged exposure to heat conditions could likely result in heat risks, especially for outdoor workers.

Preparing for the weather conditions

As some parts of the country face the threat of severe weather, they should prepare ahead. Hurricane season is set, and more storms could come along the way.

Checking your homes for possible repairs or damages would be helpful, as hurricane-force winds and rain could lead to significant damage.

Furthermore, homeowners should consider keeping emergency kits in their homes in case of emergencies like power outages and inaccessible road conditions.
