TUI Cruises has unveiled the name of its latest ship, Mein Schiff Flow, marking the second vessel in its InTUItion class. Set to be delivered in 2026, the ship will be a sister to the Mein Schiff Relax, offering a luxurious, relaxing experience designed to help passengers leave behind the stresses of everyday life. With a capacity of 4,000 guests, the ship is being built at the renowned Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, and will bring a fresh, calming atmosphere to the seas.
Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, expressed excitement about the upcoming vessel: “We are delighted that we can meet the increasing demand for cruises with the Mein Schiff Flow. Our ninth newbuild is based on the Mein Schiff Relax, which also belongs to the InTUItion class.”

The Mein Schiff Flow is designed to reflect its name by creating an onboard environment where passengers can “go with the flow,” relax, and slow down. The ship’s design prioritizes lightness, airiness, and tranquility, with public spaces, suites, and cabins carefully crafted to evoke a sense of freedom and relaxation. The aesthetic and ambiance of the ship will invite guests to let go of their everyday obligations and rediscover a carefree sense of living.
The introduction of the Mein Schiff Flow is part of TUI Cruises’ broader strategy to meet the growing demand for experience-oriented cruises. Meier noted that with the Mein Schiff Flow, TUI Cruises will achieve a 60 percent increase in fleet capacity over the span of just three years, representing a significant leap for the Hamburg-based cruise line.
“This constant and sustainable expansion is part of our long-term strategy, in particular to serve the growing demand for experience-oriented cruises. The expansion of the fleet not only creates more capacity but also enables us to reach different target groups and open up new markets,” Meier said.
By expanding its fleet, TUI Cruises is not only meeting increased demand but also diversifying its offerings to appeal to a wider range of passengers, from those seeking pure relaxation to those interested in more immersive, experience-driven journeys.

Environmental and climate protection are key pillars of TUI Cruises’ vision for the future, and the Mein Schiff Flow plays a crucial role in this mission. Like its sister ship, the Mein Schiff Relax, the Flow will operate using LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), a cleaner alternative to traditional marine fuels. LNG reduces sulfur emissions to nearly zero, cuts nitrogen oxide emissions by 85 percent, and lowers carbon dioxide emissions by up to 20 percent.
In addition to LNG, the Mein Schiff Flow will be equipped with state-of-the-art catalytic converters and a shore power connection, allowing it to plug into local electrical grids while docked, further minimizing emissions. Looking ahead, both ships are designed to run on bio-LNG and e-LNG, low-emission fuels that are a step toward achieving climate-neutral cruising.
TUI Cruises is positioning itself as a leader in the cruise industry’s push for sustainability, with the Mein Schiff Flow and its sister ships at the forefront of this green transition. The company’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices is increasingly important to today’s travelers, many of whom prioritize eco-conscious choices in their travel plans.
The Mein Schiff Flow will cater to passengers seeking an experience that prioritizes well-being, relaxation, and a sense of lightness. The design elements of the ship are intentionally focused on fostering tranquility and serenity, from the open, airy public spaces to the thoughtfully designed cabins and suites that promote a sense of comfort and freedom.
Guests aboard the Mein Schiff Flow will be encouraged to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the moment, leaving the stresses of everyday life far behind. TUI Cruises envisions the ship as a sanctuary at sea, where the pace of life naturally slows and passengers can truly rejuvenate. The company believes this approach aligns with the growing demand for experience-oriented cruising, where travelers seek more than just sightseeing, but rather, a deeper, more enriching and relaxing experience.
The Mein Schiff Flow represents the third new ship TUI Cruises has added to its fleet within three years, with a design that blends comfort, innovation, and sustainability. The InTUItion class of ships, which the Mein Schiff Flow and Relax belong to, is built to cater to the evolving needs of modern travelers while embracing the latest in environmental technologies.
With features that highlight both the ship’s luxurious offerings and its commitment to eco-friendly cruising, the Mein Schiff Flow is poised to become a flagship for sustainable travel and customer satisfaction. Its design reflects TUI’s philosophy of blending care for the environment with creating memorable, unique guest experiences.
TUI Cruises’ decision to build a ship like the Mein Schiff Flow not only underscores its confidence in the future of cruising but also highlights the company’s efforts to lead by example in the industry’s shift towards more sustainable practices. The cruise line is committed to constant innovation, ensuring that it remains competitive in a fast-evolving market while also addressing the concerns of environmentally-conscious travelers.
With the Mein Schiff Flow, TUI Cruises continues its ambitious growth strategy, expanding its fleet while prioritizing environmental sustainability and customer satisfaction. The ship’s focus on relaxation, freedom, and carefreeness is aligned with modern travelers’ desires for experience-oriented vacations. Operating on LNG and designed with advanced environmental technologies, the Mein Schiff Flow sets the standard for eco-friendly cruising, positioning TUI Cruises as a leader in the industry’s green transition. As the company expands its fleet and market reach, it remains committed to offering unforgettable cruise experiences that meet the needs of diverse travelers.
