No camping is allowed during the closures. The National Park Service said it will the longest closure for them as it shuttered until 2024, or maybe 2025, for rehabilitation.

It is  Yosemite’s vast campground which is sprawling across 140 acres with 304 drive-in campsites for campers with cars, 21 for backpackers, 7 group sites, and 4 horse sites served 141,000 visitors a year. The extensive site was changed built in the 1930s and upgraded in the 1960s including modulated and simplified road system, rehabilitated restrooms adding two new in it, and an updated water and sewer system.

Bridalveil Creek and Crane Flat are the other campgrounds closed till 2023. The Bridalveil Creek campground is situated in the Glacier Point Road itself closed till 2022. The closure brings some replacements like- plumbing, water treatment equipment, and generator building. It carries 115 sites for campers.

Redesigning campsites, replacing equipment, and rebuilding roads are the changes for Crane Flat Campground. NPS decides to reduce the total no. of campsites from 166 to 151, alongside plans to combine a few single sites into double sites and allow groups as big as 12 people to camp together.
