Turkey has been instrumental in creating opportunities for six nations to travel without a visa.

The move has been aptly made to impact tourism and international ties positively.

There happens to be requirements for visa requirements for stays relating to 90 days in Turkey for nationals of the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Bahrain, and Oman. In addition to making travel easier for nationals of the listed nations, this action is likely to boost Turkey’s tourism sector.

Previously, in order to enter Turkey, nationals of Canada, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain had to apply for an electronic visa. Nonetheless, applicants will be able to apply online for a Turkish visa, considering they are nationals of more than 40 other countries. Some nationalities can apply immediately for the Turkish e-visa, which does not need any additional requirements. Others will be able to meet certain eligibility requirements; this involves holding a visa or residence permit from the United States, a Schengen nation, the United Kingdom, or Ireland.

Every year the number of tourists who visit Turkey seems to have increased with time.  Thereby making it one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. A total of over 46 million foreign visitors visited Turkey by the end of November 2023, exceeding the number for the entire year 2022, which was just under 45 million, according to the most recent figures released by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The evidence relating to Turkey’s widespread popularity as a global vacation destination was commendable. Since there has been, a massive inflow of visitors come from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Russia.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, issued an order on 22nd December 2023. This was published in the Turkish Official Gazette on 23rd December.

As a result, citizens of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the US, Canada, Bahrain, and Oman are now able to enter Turkey for up to 90 days without a visa. This move went on to be indicative relating to Turkey’s determination for strengthening diplomatic relations and positioning itself as a top vacation destination worldwide.

Turkey also referred to as Türkiye, has thrived as a well-known and popular Middle Eastern nation that has been attracting tourists from all over the world since time immemorial. Now, with the additional advantage, the tourism industry in Turkey is likely to shoot up.
