Turtle Island Water Park

On December 8, 2023, the grand opening celebration took place for Turtle Island Indoor Water Park, the latest addition to North Dakota’s indoor entertainment scene. Situated at 3965 Sky Dancer Way NE, Belcourt, ND 58316, this water park is intricately connected to Sky Dancer Casino & Resort.

Distinguished as the prime family destination in the region, Turtle Island Indoor Water Park boasts three water slides, a 175-foot lazy river, an engaging activity pool, and a dedicated children’s play area. Secure your tickets now by visiting turtleislandadventureparks.com.

Expressing enthusiasm for the broad audience the park aims to attract, Carl Foy, Marketing Director for Turtle Island Indoor Water Park, declared, “We are thrilled to welcome families from across North Dakota, Canada, and Minnesota! Turtle Island Indoor Water Park is poised to become the top destination in our area for families, offering something for everyone. Thrill seekers can revel in our waterslides, the youngest guests can play all day at the splash pad, and parents can unwind on the lazy river. The seamless connection to Sky Dancer Casino & Resort provides families with convenient access to lodging and dining without stepping outside.”

Post the grand opening, the water park will be operational from Wednesday through Monday each week, with a varying operating schedule. The detailed timetable is accessible at turtleislandadventureparks.com.

Encouraging families to plan ahead for the upcoming holidays, Foy remarked, “With the chilly North Dakota winters approaching, we invite families to secure their plans and tickets soon. Turtle Island Indoor Water Park offers a year-round escape for families to avoid the cold and enjoy a weekend getaway. It’s perpetual summer at Turtle Island Indoor Water Park.”

Beyond its thrilling water attractions, Turtle Island Indoor Water Park pays homage to the local Ojibwe culture and traditions. Named after the Ojibwe origin story, where creation unfolds on a turtle’s back, the park features depictions of characters and scenes from the creation narrative on murals and installations.

Anticipate more excitement in the vicinity, as Turtle Island Indoor Water Park marks the inaugural attraction in the newly emerging Turtle Island Adventure Park—a family-centric destination centered in and around the Belcourt area. In the months ahead, a trampoline park, winter park, and arcade will complement the water park, providing families with a diverse array of entertainment options during their visit.

John Allery, Director of Inclusive Economic Development Projects with the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, expressed, “Turtle Island Adventure Park will undoubtedly stand out as a destination for families with children of all ages. Introducing this attraction to the Turtle Mountains presents a significant opportunity for us to share our local community and culture with an even broader audience.”
