Tuwaiq Sculpture 2024: Free admission to global live sculpting event in Riyadh

The organizers of Tuwaiq Sculpture 2024 are thrilled to announce the launch of the booking and ticketing platform for live sculpting, featuring free admission.

Through this platform, visitors can explore a dynamic schedule of activities, including live sculpting tours starting from January 14. The program offers over 50 panel talks and workshops, along with more than 20 educational visits from local schools and universities.

Curated by Marek Wolynski (Lead Curator) and Dr. Fahad Aljebreen (Associate Curator), Tuwaiq Sculpture will take place from January 14 to February 8. Witness live sculpting at ROSHN Front from January 14 and visit the subsequent exhibition showcasing 30 completed sculptures from February 12 to 24, 2024.

The theme for Tuwaiq Sculpture, titled “Dimensions of Movement,” embodies the essence of progress and expansion, reflecting the accelerating advancement of modern society. This theme captures the vibrancy of Riyadh’s transformation and its ambitious drive towards innovation and new horizons.

This year, Tuwaiq Sculpture brings together 30 artists from 20 countries, including 10 artists from Saudi Arabia, half of whom are women.

ROSHN, the giga-project real estate developer owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, serves as the Presenting Partner for Tuwaiq Sculpture 2024. The Hosting Partner is ROSHN Front, Riyadh’s iconic lifestyle retail and F&B destination, visited by over 10 million visitors annually. The Fairmont Riyadh, a luxurious 5-star hotel near King Khalid International Airport, is the festival’s Hospitality Partner. Supporting Partners include Visit Saudi and Nova Water.

Tuwaiq Sculpture serves as a unique platform where renowned artists converge, collaborate, and create large-scale sculptures in a live setting. This annual event fosters collaboration between artist communities globally, nurtures local talent, supports the kingdom’s creative industries, and enhances Saudi Arabia’s cultural economy. Tuwaiq Sculpture is an integral part of Riyadh Art, one of the world’s largest public art initiatives, aiming to transform the Saudi capital into a “gallery without walls” with over 1,000 public art installations spread across the city through 10 programs and two annual events.

The symposium and exhibition are situated at a site north of ROSHN Front. Parking is available on-site, or visitors can catch a free shuttle bus at ROSHN Front.
