Two-day seminar in Srinagar on World Tourism Day

Jammu and Kashmir’s administration held a two-day meeting in Srinagar on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27 for boosting eco-tourism in the UT. The meeting was joined by tour and travel agents, owners of houseboats, environment specialists, investigators and bird watchers, as per the tourism representatives.

The meeting was organized to gain the full prospect of the Kashmir Valley as an eco-tourism destination. The officials are optimistic that with the help of this seminar, absence of consciousness regarding the
places in the Valley where eco-tourism can be encouraged at a large scale can be spoken about.

A participant said that they have innumerable attractive places with good prospect of eco-tourism and
this is a good inventiveness undertaken by the department targeted toward highlighting the unfamiliar
destinations.
