UAE Singapore, Mauritius, India, and more travelers faced flight delays at Chennai Airport as dense fog disrupted operations between 1 AM and 8 AM.

Flight operations at Chennai Airport faced disruptions early Saturday due to dense fog, leading to delays between 1 AM and 8 AM.

A total of 15 flights were affected, with 11 departures and 4 arrivals experiencing delays.

Flights arriving from Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Mauritius, Sharjah, Dubai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad, and Andaman were impacted. Departures to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Pune, and Kolkata were also delayed.

Many passengers missed their connecting flights, resulting in heated exchanges with airport staff.

The most significant delay involved an Air India Express flight from Pune to Chennai, which was held up for six hours.
