Uber said that it has started offering electric autorickshaw services in Ayodhya in advance of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in an effort to facilitate easy and reasonably priced travel for residents and visitors in the upcoming days.

Like with all of its services, Uber’s electric vehicle rickshaw options can be accessed through its mobile app. In order to handle a high volume of rides, this service will be more reasonably priced with a quicker booking rate.

UberGo and Uber Intercity services will also launch in the near future in and around Ayodhya, according to the company’s plans. Ayodhya will have access to the intercity option from all Uttar Pradesh cities.

Uber made the decision to launch electric vehicle autorickshaws in Ayodhya as a strategic move to broaden its offerings as well as a symbolic one given the momentous occasion of the temple consecration. The arrival of these electric cars highlights the significance of sustainable transportation options in meeting rising mobility demands while reducing environmental impact as the city gets ready to receive a wave of tourists and pilgrims.

Uber’s efforts to promote clean energy and lower carbon emissions have advanced with the launch of its EV autorickshaw service in Ayodhya. Uber hopes to support India’s ambitious plans to shift to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation system by adding electric vehicles to its fleet.

Local drivers should benefit from the introduction of EV autorickshaws as well, since it will give them access to new, efficient cars that meet international sustainability standards. As part of its commitment to supporting driver partners, Uber is likely to offer training and incentives to encourage the adoption of EVs, thereby empowering drivers to embrace environmentally friendly practices.

Preparations for the enthronement of Lord Ram at the sanctum-sanctorum of the recently constructed Ram Mandir by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are underway throughout Ayodhya, as the influx of tourists is predicted to surge this week. The event is scheduled for January 22.

The ceremonial installation of Lord Ram inside the temple will be witnessed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Further, PM Modi has also announced a special 11-day ‘anushthan’ (ritual) ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.
