Since 2003, VFS Global has been a reliable partner for the UK Government. Recently, it has secured the prestigious international contract for managing overseas UK visa and Citizenship services, marking another milestone in its journey as a global leader in visa, passport, and citizen services.
In 2024, VFS Global is set to establish 240 Visa and Citizenship Application Service (VCAS) Centres in 142 countries, covering regions like Africa & Middle East, the Asia & Asia Pacific, Americas, China & Taiwan and Australasia & Europe. These centers will cater to various visa categories and, in certain locations, UK passport applications. Collectively, these centers are anticipated to handle around 3.8 million applicants annually.
A significant aspect of this expansion is VFS Global’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience. This includes launching new customer-centric websites and refining the in-person service experience. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, VFS Global aims to uphold rigorous identity verification standards, thus safeguarding the integrity of the visa and passport application process. This new contract is also projected to result in cost savings for the UK Government.
The UK continues to attract a vast number of visitors worldwide, with India, China, Nigeria, and Turkey being the leading sources of applications*.
Furthering its customer service, VFS Global plans to grow its network of supplementary paid application centers. These centers, located in popular hotels and resorts, will make the visa application process more convenient. Currently, such services are available in India, UAE, and the USA through partnerships with local hotels.
This achievement follows closely on the heels of VFS Global securing the global biometric collection service contract with Australia and renewing its global visa service agreement with Sweden.
