UN Tourism to Showcase Global Innovation and Inclusion at Expo 2025 Osaka

UN Tourism is set to make a significant impact at Expo 2025 Osaka, hosting two exclusive events and a dynamic array of activities when the global exhibition opens on April 13 at Yumeshima Island, Japan.

Flagship Events Driving Change

UN Tourism will lead two high-profile events, each aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and investment within the tourism sector:

• April 28 – Celebrating Female Founders Event
  This event will shine a spotlight on women entrepreneurs, featuring a dynamic pitching session, insightful panel discussions, and fireside conversations. The session will highlight female-led startups from UN Tourism’s Global Startup Competitions, celebrating their contributions to innovation and economic empowerment.
• April 29 – Global Tourism Investment Forum
  This forum will serve as a platform for stakeholders to explore new investment opportunities, discuss sustainable growth strategies, and strengthen global partnerships in tourism development.

UN Pavilion: Showcasing Global Solutions

Throughout Expo 2025, UN Tourism will be part of the UN Pavilion, themed “United for a Better Future”. As one of 35 UN entities featured at the event, it will present exhibits and host interactive programs aimed at tackling global challenges while aligning with Expo 2025’s Theme Weeks.

One of the key highlights will be the Co-creating Cultures for the Future Week, running April 25 to May 6, which will delve into the intersection of tourism, arts, music, heritage, and local community revitalization.
