United intends to recommence daily flights from New York/Newark to Tel Aviv, marking the initial phase of reinstating essential passenger and cargo connections previously halted in October.
The inaugural Newark-Tel Aviv flights on March 2 and 4 will include a stop in Munich, ensuring the readiness of all service providers for the eventual non-stop service between Newark and Tel Aviv. There are no scheduled Newark departures to Tel Aviv on March 3 and 5. The aim is to reintroduce daily nonstop service to Tel Aviv starting March 6.
United based its decision on a thorough safety evaluation conducted in partnership with security specialists and government agencies from both the United States and Israel. Furthermore, United collaborated closely with the Air Line Pilots Association and the Association of Flight Attendants to develop safety protocols and enhance awareness.
United will closely monitor the situation in Tel Aviv and make schedule adjustments as necessary, including modifications to the newly announced New York/Newark service resumption. Plans are in place to reinstate a second daily Tel Aviv flight from Newark as early as May, in line with recovering travel demand. Evaluation for the resumption of previous routes from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare will commence in the fall.
Resumed flights are now open for booking on United.com and the United app, with services also available through partner airlines such as Lufthansa.
