Unleashing luxury: OMNIA Convention Center debuts at hotel Shangri-La, Rome

The recently inaugurated OMNIA Convention Center at Hotel Shangri-La Rome offers three meeting rooms spanning over 1,800 square meters, nestled within the greenery of the EUR district. As part of OMNIA Hotels’ ongoing commitment to upgrade and rejuvenate its properties, the focus has shifted to the conference center, with future plans including the development of an outdoor swimming pool area with catering services.

Francesco Lazzarini, CEO of OMNIA Hotels, expresses pride in the realization of this challenging project, marking a significant milestone following the comprehensive renovation of the Shangri-La. Lazzarini emphasizes the importance of restoring this landmark to the city, equipped with all the necessary amenities.

The versatile spaces within the new OMNIA Convention Center comprise two plenary rooms, each divisible into three sections, named after planets. Additionally, there’s a spacious 400 sqm lounge with a large window for catering services, a well-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor terrace area. This transformation involved repurposing an abandoned section that was previously designated for an incomplete indoor swimming pool—a revival in line with the Lazzarini family’s commitment to revitalizing architectural heritage.

The conference center at Shangri-La Roma not only features meeting rooms within the hotel but also boasts cutting-edge technologies, including a 10 x 3 LED wall screen. A dedicated entrance from Viale Oceano Atlantico enhances accessibility.

OMNIA Hotels, under the leadership of Francesco and Riccardo Lazzarini, manages a portfolio of seven strategically located hotels in Rome. These include Hotel Donna Laura Palace along Lungotevere in the Prati district, the soon-to-be-renovated Hotel Imperiale on Via Veneto, the recently established Hotel St. Martin between the National Library and Piazza Indipendenza, the Grand Hotel Fleming in the heart of the homonymous hill, Hotel Santa Costanza near the mausoleum on Via Nomentana, the newly refurbished Rose Garden Palace on Via Boncompagni, and the recently acquired Mondial Hotel next to the Opera House.
