This sounds like a wonderful addition to IHG Hotels! The Six Senses La Sagesse in the Caribbean seems like a paradise nestled in Grenada’s natural beauty. The combination of beachfront luxury, lush surroundings, and access to the island’s vibrant ecosystems makes it an ideal destination for travelers seeking relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion.

Thomas Fehlbier, General Manager, says: “Grenada is divided into six parishes, and La Sagesse, which is in the South-Eastern parish of St. David, has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. It is filled with vibrant energy, and we are delighted to be opening our doors and welcoming our first guests to discover this unique location. Our hosts, many of whom were born and raised minutes from the resort, along with the neighboring community, are full of pride and all-embracing. We are immensely grateful to be breaking the mold and inviting the world to experience a side of Grenada that retains an incredible purity and remains somewhat undiscovered.”

Six Senses La Sagesse, the latest addition to Six Senses under IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio, boasts 56 pool suites and 15 villas of varying sizes, featuring spacious outdoor terraces and private plunge pools. Every detail of the resort’s design has been meticulously crafted to prioritize guest well-being, from ample natural light and open spaces to the use of natural and recycled materials for the interiors.

The resort offers unparalleled Grenadian farm-to-table experiences, showcasing the island’s rich heritage and culture through its Experience Center. Guests can partake in a range of activities such as farm-to-table cooking, Caribbean-style high tea, waterfall excursions, rainforest treks, and coastal visits, each embodying tradition, sustainability, culture, and community engagement, catering to visitors of all ages.

One exclusive tour offers a behind-the-scenes farming experience, where guests can meet Theresa Marryshow, Head of Grenada’s Grenrop, a local women’s farming organization. This immersive experience not only delves into Grenrop’s community-focused initiatives but also treats guests to authentic Grenadian culinary delights.

Grenada’s renowned cocoa beans are a highlight, and a visit is incomplete without exploring the island’s award-winning organic dark chocolate. The excursion provides insights into Grenada’s chocolate-making traditions, culture, and history from the perspective of local farmers.

With three restaurants, two bars, a bakery, and destination dining following the Eat With Six Senses philosophy, Six Senses La Sagesse’s menus blend Caribbean and South American flavors while prioritizing well-being. Led by Executive Chef Jason Miller, dishes are crafted using locally sourced produce, fostering community ties and reducing the resort’s environmental footprint.

The spa harnesses fragrant spices and local wisdom to create innovative wellness programs focusing on sleep, movement, yoga, and longevity. High-tech and high-touch therapies guided by experts and Visiting Practitioners offer personalized growth and reconnection experiences.

Guests can indulge in bespoke treatments like the Caribbean Cleansing Ritual, complemented by local bush tea. The Alchemy Bar invites guests to craft potions and remedies using Grenada’s native spices and herbs.

Six Senses La Sagesse emphasizes local ecology conservation, centered around a natural lagoon thriving with diverse species. Careful development has maintained this ecosystem, providing a sanctuary for wildlife while incorporating native trees and vegetation throughout the resort.

Situated 35 minutes from Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport, Six Senses La Sagesse is easily accessible, welcoming guests from North America, Canada, and Europe with year-round flights.
