The projected corridor at Bharadwaj Muni Ashram in Sangam city would be one of the most important projects completed as part of the Mahakumbh-2025 preparations. The Hindustan Times noted that as per authorities, the Tourism department has created the corridor’s layout as well as a budget request of roughly Rs 15 crore.

People would get the sense of being in the Ramayana era after entering the Bharadwaj corridor, which is being created in two zones, after the planned refurbishment is done, they added.

The task has been assigned to a Lucknow-based agency. The construction will begin as soon as the department receives final government permission, according to authorities.

“Among several works that have been planned ahead of Mahakumbh-2025, revamping the Bharadwaj Ashram is on the agenda and after getting a formal clearance, work will begin in earnest”, The Hindustan Times quoted Mahakumbh Mela Adhikari, Viyaj Kiran Anand, as saying.

Important works such as wall painting, wall murals, a multilingual audio centre, and a parking lot are scheduled for zone one. In zone two, 12 works will be completed, including the construction of a big gate, the demolition of the main temple’s shed, and the recreation of episodes from Hindu mythology.

A massive gate will be built opposite Anand Bhawan, and the road will be extended and made into a wide mettled road. An elevated walkway will also be built as part of this.

In addition, hut-shaped shelters and sheds for travellers to sit will be built, and fruit-bearing trees will be planted. Selfie points will be established. On the Ashram’s wall, 3D images of notable sages will be created.

A scene of Devguru Brihaspati, Maharishi Bharadwaj performing Yagya with seven sages, the first meeting with Lord Rama, Goddess Janaki, and a scene of dialogue with them will also be engraved as an attraction at the Ashram.

A multilingual audio centre will be established. In addition, there will be a QR code. After scanning the code, all information about the ashram dating back to the Ramayana time will be presented. Parking will be available in one area of the Ashram.

The main gate will be modelled after Gurmukhi Hindu art. Elephant figurines will be placed beneath the shed. The height of this gate is projected to be more than 30 feet, adding to the opulence of the Ashram.

Since ages, the Bhardawj Ashram in Prayagraj has represented the continuity of Hindu culture and civilisation. The Ganga is said to have flown next to it during Lord Ram’s time. Lord Ram is said to have met him and had a major conversation with him here.

Maharshi Bharadwaj was a Vedic, Puranic, Ayurvedic, Dhanurvedic, and Vimana Shastra teacher.
