US-based Textron Aviation is in advanced talks with Sirius Aviation Airlines for a landmark $600M deal to supply twenty Cessna aircraft, boosting its fleet.
Sirius Aviation Airlines, a leading private air charter operator, is in the final stages of discussions with U.S.-based Textron Aviation to acquire 20 Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft in a deal valued at approximately $600 million. This strategic move is aimed at significantly enhancing the company’s capabilities in the premium business aviation sector.
The airline officially commenced operations in August 2023 through a partnership with Dubai-based Transworld Group. In November, it announced ambitious plans to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft by the 2027 financial year. The expansion will include a mix of small and midsize business jets, along with group charter planes, to cater to a growing clientele.
Industry sources indicate that the initial batch of 8 to 12 luxury business jets is expected to be delivered within 12 to 18 months following the formalization of the agreement. This addition to the fleet is anticipated to elevate the airline’s ability to serve high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients with greater efficiency.
As part of the negotiation process, Textron Aviation recently conducted a demonstration flight in Dubai for executives from Sirius India Airlines and Transworld Aviation. This step was crucial in providing firsthand insight into the aircraft’s capabilities and performance.
Beyond India, Sirius Aviation Airlines is eyeing an expansion into international markets, with a particular focus on the Far East, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. The airline aims to tap into the growing demand for premium private aviation services in these regions.

Domestically, the company is working to strengthen its presence in western and southern India, where the demand for private air travel continues to rise. With a focus on both corporate and leisure travelers, Sirius Aviation Airlines is positioning itself as a key player in the evolving business aviation landscape.
