Chicago Gets Two New Nonstop Routes to Mexico

Winter travelers departing from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) will have two brand-new nonstop options to popular destinations in Mexico starting in late 2025. Beginning October 26, American Airlines will debut a new daily nonstop route to Mexico City, granting travelers seamless entry to the country’s vibrant capital, renowned for its deep historical roots, world-class cuisine, and bustling cultural landscape.

Just in time for the peak holiday season, another new route will begin on December 18, connecting Chicago to Queretaro (QRO), a charming colonial city with a UNESCO-listed historic center. These new connections build on American’s earlier 2025 expansions from Chicago, which included five new international destinations. With this winter’s additions, the airline’s sun-seeking network from ORD now features over 20 destinations across the Americas.

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), already American Airlines’ largest hub in the Northeast, will also see expanded international service this winter.
