Pelagos: Navigating Uncharted Waters

Reopening on Valentine’s Day, Pelagos invites guests to indulge in a six-course tasting menu, optionally paired with wines. The experience commences with Pelagos canapés and Taittinger Rosé Brut Champagne. Notable dishes include Red Prawn Tartare paired with Chilean Sauvignon Blanc Expresión Reserve, Turbot Farci with Black Truffle, Clams, and Chorizo Oil, and a Mascarpone Cloud with Raspberry, Rose, and Batak Berries accompanied by Niepoort Tawny Port 10Y from Portugal’s Douro Valley.

Pelagos, named after the Greek word for “ocean” and celebrated for its avant-garde locavore focus, symbolizes a celebration of love and adventure at sea. Head Chef Luca Piscazzi describes the Valentine’s menu as intimate and mysterious, echoing the depth and complexity of love and the exploration of uncharted waters in relationships.

Mercato: A Generous Italian Heart

At the hotel’s waterfront trattoria, Mercato, Valentine’s diners can relish a vibrant celebration of Italy’s people, colors, flavors, and generosity through a bold six-course menu. Highlights include Tuna and Caviar, Carpaccio of Beetroot, Goat Cheese, and Endive, Wagyu Beef with Foie Gras and Potato Mille Feuille, and a finale of Frutti di Bosco – a Chocolate Crème and Berries Compote. A Vegetarian menu with delights like Rapa Rossa e Caprino and Cavolfiore e Mela is also available.

Chef Sergio, Mercato’s maestro and Sicilian native, describes the menu as a homage to the enduring passion and romance of Italy, a testament to Mercato’s deep roots in Italian markets infused with modern twists for contemporary love stories.

Avra: Modern Love Mixology

Relaunched in May 2023, Avra, the sea-view hotspot, is renowned for seasonal cocktails, great DJs, and a laidback celebration of life’s pleasures. Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Avra, where the art of mixology and the essence of joie de vivre are truly understood. The “Avra For All” event on February 14 invites singles, couples, friends, and family groups to revel in life, love, and living from 7:00 pm until late. Modern-day alchemist Manon Kapfer leads the festivities, with Avra’s Valentine’s Drinks Menu showcasing the bar’s innovative blend of flavors and boundary-pushing takes on cocktail classics.
