Vande Bharat Express Ready to Boost Rail Travel Quality Between Tatanagar and Berhampur in India

Vande Bharat Express is set to boost connectivity between Tatanagar in Jharkhand and Berhampur in Odisha, with its trial run scheduled for September 8. The South Eastern Railway has confirmed the date, marking a significant step toward enhancing passenger travel between the two states with faster and more comfortable train services.

According to the South Eastern Railway, the trial run of the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express will begin on September 8. The train will cover the distance between Tatanagar and Berhampur in approximately 9 hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey is expected to take 8 hours and 55 minutes.

The official inauguration of the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express will take place on September 15, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi presiding over the launch in Jamshedpur. This marks the rollout of the 63rd Vande Bharat Express in the country, continuing the expansion of India’s high-speed rail network.

Jharkhand is also set to welcome three new Vande Bharat routes on September 15. Along with the Tata-Berhampur route, the trains will link Tatanagar with Patna and Deoghar (Baidyanath Dham) with Varanasi (Baba Vishwanath Dham). Preparations for the launch are underway, with the train rakes for the Tata-Berhampur service already in Jamshedpur.

The proposed schedule for the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express shows that the train will depart from Tatanagar at 5:20 AM and reach Berhampur by 2:30 PM. The return trip will leave Berhampur at 3:00 PM, arriving back in Tatanagar at 11:55 PM. Key stops along the route include Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Banspani, Nayagarh, Kendujhargarh, Harichandanpur, Jakhapura, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, and Balugaon.

In preparation for the event, two Vande Bharat trains have already arrived at Tatanagar for trial runs. Prime Minister Modi will also flag off four new Vande Bharat services on September 15, including the Tata-Patna, Tata-Berhampur, Deoghar-Varanasi, and Dumka-Ranchi routes. Security arrangements are being tightened in Tatanagar, with local authorities working closely with the railways to ensure smooth operations.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto expressed the significance of these services, emphasizing the improved travel options for passengers commuting between Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha, and highlighting the convenience and speed offered by the new Vande Bharat Express trains.
