Vietjet unveils new Ho Chi Minh City – Chengdu route!

Vietjet Air, the largest private airline in Vietnam, celebrated the onset of the Lunar New Year with the launch of a direct route between Ho Chi Minh City and Chengdu. This new service aims to provide a convenient travel option for Chinese passengers during the Spring Festival, enhancing air connectivity between China and Vietnam. Additionally, it seeks to boost trade and tourism between the two nations and throughout the region.

Mr. Wei Huaxiang, the Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Michael Hickey, Vietjet’s Chief Operating Officer, honored the welcome ceremony at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. They jointly greeted passengers on the inaugural flight, extending warm wishes for Vietjet’s new venture in the Year of the Dragon.

The Chengdu – Ho Chi Minh City route operates with one daily return flight, amounting to seven round-trips weekly, with each leg lasting over four hours. Flights depart from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) at 00:50 local time, arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 03:55 local time. Departures from Tan Son Nhat International Airport are scheduled for 19:10 local time, landing in Chengdu at 00:15 the following day, local time.
