Viking® has officially opened bookings for its 2026 ocean voyages, responding to strong demand from North American travelers. With numerous 2024 dates sold out and 2025 departures quickly filling up, the company is offering early reservations for 2026 departures across its entire ocean fleet, including the upcoming Viking Vesta® set to debut in July 2025. The Viking Vesta, a sister ship accommodating 998 guests, will embark on its inaugural season with captivating journeys through the Mediterranean and Scandinavia.

Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking, highlighted the company’s distinctive approach, catering to discerning travelers without children and casinos. He expressed pleasure in the positive response to their unique travel experiences and anticipated introducing more curious explorers to the Viking way.

The itineraries feature diverse destinations, such as historic Scandinavian cities like Stockholm, Oslo, and Bergen, as well as charming locales like Ålborg, Gdańsk, Berlin, and Copenhagen. The voyages also explore the majestic Norwegian fjords, echoing the legendary homelands of the Vikings.

For those seeking a Mediterranean sojourn, an eight-day journey awaits, showcasing France’s southern coast and Italy’s Renaissance treasures. Travelers can immerse themselves in the art, architecture, and history of Catalonian and Tuscan regions, with overnights in Barcelona and Tuscany. The South of France, with stops in Montpellier, Marseille, and the glamorous Monte Carlo, adds a touch of luxury.

The ten-day Adriatic and Aegean exploration offers a rich tapestry of historic sites, from Venice to Athens, with visits to Olympia, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Santorini, Corfu, and Koper. The British Isles itinerary includes overnight stays in Bergen and Greenwich, exploring the Highlands, Western Isles, Shetland, Orkney, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Dover, and London.

A roundtrip Caribbean voyage departing from San Juan allows for a deep dive into the British, French, and Dutch cultures of the Lesser Antilles, visiting Tortola, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Martin, and St. Thomas.

In addition to these voyages, Viking introduces six new immersive Pre and Post Extensions starting in 2024 and 2025. These three-night extensions, available in Barcelona, Istanbul, London, Rome, Stockholm, and Venice, offer Privileged Access® experiences, including museum visits, local cuisine exploration, market visits, cooking classes, and optional excursions.

Travelers can explore Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter and Montserrat, delve into the Ottoman Empire’s history in Istanbul, discover London’s iconic sites, experience the “Eternal City” of Rome, embrace Stockholm’s culture, and enjoy an intimate Venice excursion, away from the crowds. These extensions cater to the growing trend, with over 45 percent of Viking guests choosing to enhance their voyages with such immersive experiences.
