Virgin Atlantic is elevating loyalty recognition with the launch of High Five, an innovative Flying Club reward designed to celebrate members who return to the airline over multiple years, regardless of their tier status or spending levels. Set to debut in January 2026, High Five marks a significant step in rewarding long-term commitment, highlighting Virgin Atlantic’s dedication to valuing passenger loyalty beyond conventional frequent flyer metrics.

The High Five initiative recognises members who have flown with Virgin Atlantic across five distinct years, whether consecutive or spread over time. This approach ensures that loyalty is acknowledged even if travel is occasional, allowing more travelers to benefit from rewards simply by choosing Virgin Atlantic repeatedly. From sun-drenched Barbados to the vibrant streets of Los Angeles, the luxurious landscapes of Dubai and Maldives, or the iconic experiences of Cape Town, every journey counts toward this milestone.

Members across all tiers—Red, Silver, and Gold—will be eligible for rewards, reinforcing inclusivity across the Flying Club. Upon reaching the High Five milestone, members will receive 12,000 Virgin Points to redeem toward flights or holidays. Additionally, Red tier members will enjoy a 10% bonus on all future Virgin Points earned, giving them an extra incentive to keep exploring.

To illustrate the value, a return Saver Reward Seat from London to New York can be secured for 12,000 Virgin Points in Economy or 16,500 points in Premium. Members with household accounts have the flexibility to pool multiple rewards earned within the same year, allowing families and households to accumulate points faster for larger trips or upgrades. With Virgin Points never expiring, members can strategically save for meaningful experiences across Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines, and other partners within the Virgin Red ecosystem, making every journey contribute to future adventures.

Importantly, Virgin Atlantic has made the initiative retroactive, tracking flights back to 1 January 2021. This means that tens of thousands of existing Flying Club members will immediately qualify for their first High Five reward, ensuring that early loyalty is celebrated without delay. Rewards will be automatically credited to eligible accounts, streamlining the process and offering instant recognition.

Looking ahead to early 2026, members will be able to monitor their progress toward the next reward directly in the Virgin Atlantic app. This feature enhances engagement, allowing travelers to see how close they are to unlocking additional Virgin Points and planning future trips accordingly. High Five not only rewards frequent travelers but also encourages a lasting relationship with Virgin Atlantic, redefining loyalty programs by celebrating consistency, flexibility, and long-term commitment.

With High Five, Virgin Atlantic reinforces its reputation as an airline that values every journey, every year, and every member, providing tangible rewards that enhance travel experiences while making loyalty a meaningful and enjoyable part of flying.

Anthony Woodman, Vice President, Flying Club & CRM, Virgin Atlantic, said: “High Five is our newest way of saying thank you to those customers who choose us whenever they can, no matter how frequently.

“For our leisure travellers in particular, we know that this will ensure that they feel the love from Virgin Atlantic. After all, loyalty flies many different ways – and at Flying Club we believe it should be for everyone.”

Virgin Atlantic’s High Five program sets a new benchmark in rewarding long-term loyalty, recognising members for their continued trust and commitment over multiple years. By offering tangible rewards, flexible points redemption, and easy tracking through the app, the airline not only celebrates past journeys but also inspires members to keep exploring. High Five reinforces Virgin Atlantic’s dedication to creating meaningful travel experiences while turning consistent loyalty into lasting benefits for every flyer.
