This year’s International Travel Expo (ITE) is a goldmine of valuable travel information that no one can afford to miss out on.

In addition to a collection of performances, seminars, photo booths, workshops, theme displays and specially designed pavilions, visitors can sample travel fun spanning different cultures to satiate their travel appetite.

Organized by TKS Exhibition Services Ltd., this year’s ITE will be held from Aug 18 to 21 at halls 3D-3E of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Visitors will benefit from a myriad of travel options provided by overseas exhibitors from popular destinations including Mainland China, South Korea, Taiwan, Macau, 12 Japanese prefectures, Taipei and Thailand.

In their pavilions or stands, visitors can take 3D photos in photo corners and attend Zoom seminars to interact with online speakers and obtain up-to-date information.

Cultural performances that had been on hold due to the pandemic are returning with a bang to the ITE’s grand stage. Sponsored by the Hong Kong Office of Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), the Hong Kong dancing troupe ‘AW-FILM’ will perform a K-pop hits dance medley, including songs by famous artists like IVE, TREASURE and EXO.

Also check out the Argentinian Tango stage performance and seize the opportunity to learn some steps and take pictures at its Theme Zone.

The House of Orient – a tea house in Central that serves tea and dim sum in Chinese colonial style – is revamped with courtyard, balcony and inner room for visitors to experience the elegant lifestyle of Hong Kong’s elites in the early 20th century.

Graffiti, gallery and old staircases in Central are also included to provide a full immersion in local culture and heritage. In compliance with hygiene regulations, food and drinks are not allowed in exhibition halls.

For more, visitors can discover domestic travel options in the Glamping Pavilion designed for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring custom-fitted vehicles and tents; or explore the newly launched ‘Domestic MICE Corner’ to learn the many possibilities available locally, including local glamping sites; also check out the Green Tourism pavilion that displays winners’ works of School Green Photo Competition.

ITE is strongly supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, with Hong Kong Tourism Board, Macao Government Tourism Office, and travel and MICE trade associations as supporters.

Only registered visitors can visit the travel fair on Aug 18 and on the morning of Aug 19, while for the remaining days and sessions, visitors can buy tickets at the entrance for admission.
