West Sumatera to become a popular health tourism destination

West Sumatra provincial government is trying to improve the facilities related to health service so that it can turn out to be a destination for health tourism.

At present, for residents in other provinces who need services related to health, West Sumatra hospitals have turned out to be a good option for them, Mahyeldi Ansharullah, West Sumatra Governor, highlighted this thing on Sunday.

As a result, in the province, the quality of services in hospitals and health facilities should be improved constantly, he added.

The governor emphasized the significance of sufficient human resources and facilities along with infrastructure support to get the quality of health service much better at West Sumatra health facilities.

Also, he praised the plan from Indonesia’s West Sumatra Islamic Hospital Foundation to build up an Islamic hospital and hopes that the hospital can give quality services related to health. He said that he expects that this can prove to be a lucrative option for the people related to medicine. West Sumatra Yarsi introduced the West Sumatera Waqf Foundation and arranged fundraising to put up in Padang Panjang City the Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital.

Yasirwan, the advisor of West Sumatra Yarsi, said that in September 2022, the fundraising for the Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital was opened. As of March 2023, it has become Rp944, 435,000 of fund.

Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, beforehand informed that 600 thousand to two million Indonesians went for the neighboring countries to take the benefit of health services.
