Westin Hilton Head Island Resort completes $13.8M renovation for a spectacular new look

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa has just announced the successful completion of its $13.8 million renovation project. The initiative involved the transformation of the existing 416 guestrooms into a total of 420 rooms, including 32 suites, with an expected completion date in early February 2024.

In the course of this renovation, the team focused on seamlessly integrating the resort’s living spaces with the natural surroundings of Hilton Head Island, creating a lavish coastal retreat. Ellis Adams Design took inspiration from the island’s sea oats and sweetgrass, aiming to foster rejuvenation and relaxation through a blend of wellness and casual adventure. The remodeled rooms and suites now showcase architectural details that mirror the outdoor environment, featuring a light and airy touch. Imperfect natural textures are skillfully combined with organic forms to convey a sense of soft luxury. The color palette draws from the island’s sandy shores, marshlands, green foliage, and clear blue skies, resulting in room designs that are rich yet restrained, as well as naturally warm.

General Manager Mike Tighe conveyed his enthusiasm for extending a warm welcome to both new and returning guests at the upgraded Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa. He underscored the resort’s dedication to becoming a top-tier destination in the Southeast, emphasizing that the renovation not only signifies a period of rejuvenation but also reinforces their commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for guests.

The Presidential Suite, featuring an expansive master bedroom, adjoining living room, large dinner table, private veranda, and extended balconies with panoramic views, promises an opulent experience. The Vice Presidential Suite offers a king bedroom, connecting living room, walk-in closet, three balconies, and a living area equipped with a wet bar and powder room, ideal for entertaining. The Atlantic Suite, located beachfront with premium ocean views, provides seclusion with separate sleeping and seating areas, a private balcony, a separate powder room, and a wet bar. For those seeking a nostalgic retreat, the Resort Bunk Suite offers luxury studio accommodations with bunk beds, a king bed, dinette table, large balcony, and a comfortable entertainment area with a wet bar. Additionally, the resort features 25 Carolina King Suites with dinette tables, entertainment areas, wet bars, sleeper sofas, and private balconies offering sweeping views of the ocean or the island’s lush greenery. Other renovated room types include Ocean Front & Ocean View Guest Rooms, Island View Guest Rooms, and Resort View Guest Rooms.
