Windstar Cruises, renowned for its luxurious small ship voyages, eagerly unveils its inaugural “President’s Mystery Cruise” scheduled to set sail on April 19, 2025. This eight-day expedition is exclusively curated for Windstar Yacht Club members, esteemed repeat patrons, and their companions, embarking from and returning to Athens. The itinerary deliberately shrouds the port destinations in secrecy aboard Windstar’s 312-passenger Star Legend, with the undisclosed locales to be unveiled to guests only 24 hours prior to arrival at each port. Upon revelation, travelers will have the opportunity to select from an array of enticing shore excursions at the destination. The suspense of where the Star Legend will dock heightens the anticipation, as Windstar promises an abundance of novel, thrilling, and captivating experiences throughout this extraordinary voyage.

“It’s going to be a lot of places—the majority of them, if not all of them—we haven’t been
before,” said Windstar’s President Christopher Prelog.
Aboard the Star Legend guests will also have the opportunity to meet Prelog, as this “Mystery
Cruise” will also double as the company’s annual, popular President’s Cruise, where guests get
a chance to know the leadership of this personal, small cruise line that does things “180
degrees from ordinary.”
“The team is keeping the itinerary secret even from me,” confesses Prelog. “They know I get
excited about things and can’t help sharing; I’m looking forward to the anticipation of finding out
where we’re going along with the guests on board.”

Prelog attributes the genesis of this groundbreaking concept to Windstar’s recent voyage to Tahiti & the Tuamotu Islands aboard the Star Breeze. During the 11-day journey, Tropical Cyclone Nat unexpectedly altered the ship’s intended route, prompting the onboard team to swiftly devise a new itinerary to circumvent the inclement weather. Guests responded positively to the impromptu adventure, inspiring leadership to embrace the concept further, thus giving rise to the “Mystery Cruise” initiative.

“It’s sort of awakening the sense of adventure again, which is what travel should always do,”
said Prelog. “It’s something different, something really interesting. It’s a cruise for guests who
like adventure, and who don’t want to plan everything out.”
