Windstar Cruises is expanding its fleet with the introduction of the Star Seeker, a new luxury ship that promises to deliver unmatched cruising experiences in Caribbean and Alaska. With its arrival, Windstar enhances its offerings, bringing exclusive, intimate voyages to these iconic destinations. The Star Seeker will provide guests with luxurious amenities, personalized service, and a truly unique way to explore two of the world’s most coveted regions, further solidifying Windstar’s reputation for providing exceptional small-ship experiences.
The Star Seeker’s maiden voyage spans 16 nights and will take passengers to some of the most desirable destinations in both Europe and the Caribbean. Among the first stops on the itinerary is Tenerife, where the ship is set to dock on New Year’s Eve, offering guests the perfect location to ring in the new year. Afterward, the ship will visit Freeport in the Bahamas, before making its way to Miami in early 2026 to begin its North American cruises.
Once in Miami, the Star Seeker will embark on a series of cruises to various locations in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, allowing travelers to explore the idyllic islands of this tropical paradise. One of the key highlights of the journey will be the ship’s passage through the iconic Panama Canal in April, providing a unique experience for passengers looking to explore one of the world’s most remarkable engineering feats. Additionally, as part of the ship’s first North American sailing, an eight-night cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico will be offered, complete with a christening ceremony onboard. Other destinations included in this inaugural voyage are the Dominican Republic and the British Virgin Islands, ensuring a varied and exciting experience for all guests.
Following the Caribbean season, the Star Seeker will head to Alaska for its first summer season, where it will offer guests the chance to explore the breathtaking landscapes of this remote, icy region. In the fall and winter, the ship will set sail on itineraries in Southeast Asia, offering an entirely different but equally captivating experience in one of the world’s most culturally rich and scenic regions.

The Star Seeker joins Windstar’s Star Class fleet, which is known for offering an intimate and luxurious cruise experience. This class includes the Star Legend, Star Pride, and Star Breeze, all of which were acquired from Seabourn in 2015. With the addition of the Star Seeker, Windstar Cruises strengthens its fleet, providing passengers with a choice of smaller, more personalized vessels designed for those seeking an exceptional cruising experience.
Built at the West Sea shipyard in Portugal, the Star Seeker represents the latest in maritime design and craftsmanship. Delivered just earlier this month, the ship is poised to continue Windstar’s legacy of delivering small-ship cruises with impeccable service and attention to detail. Originally designed for Mystic Cruises, the vessel was eventually added to Windstar’s fleet, expanding the Star Class series that began with the Star Explorer in 2019. This vessel was designed to cater to those who value luxury, comfort, and the ability to visit off-the-beaten-path destinations that larger ships cannot access.

In 2026, the Star Explorer will join Windstar Cruises after undergoing a significant transformation. The 200-passenger ship will begin offering year-round Mediterranean cruises starting in December 2026. This addition further complements Windstar’s commitment to offering a fleet of small, luxurious ships that provide guests with an intimate and immersive experience in the world’s most beautiful and remote destinations.
Windstar Cruises’ Star Class fleet offers a range of destinations around the world, including the Caribbean, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and the South Pacific. With smaller ships that can access more remote ports and provide a more personal atmosphere, Windstar remains focused on delivering unique and high-quality travel experiences. As the Star Seeker sets sail on its inaugural season, it is clear that Windstar Cruises is poised to continue to innovate and provide guests with unforgettable journeys that highlight the beauty and charm of the world’s most coveted locations.
Windstar Cruises is expanding its fleet with the Star Seeker, bringing unparalleled luxury cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. The new vessel promises intimate, exclusive voyages with personalized service and exceptional experiences in these iconic destinations.
The Star Seeker is an embodiment of Windstar’s philosophy of luxury small-ship cruising, where service, comfort, and exploration come together seamlessly. As the cruise line continues to expand its fleet and offer new itineraries, it remains committed to offering its guests unparalleled experiences, whether they are traversing the Caribbean, sailing through the Panama Canal, or discovering the beauty of Alaska or Southeast Asia. With a history of delivering exceptional voyages, the Star Seeker’s debut is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting future for Windstar Cruises and its guests.
