Winston Duke becomes the new ambassador for UN

Duke, famous for his charming performances in censoriously commended films like “Nine Days,” “Black Panther,” and “Us,” and has constantly established his commitment to social causes, turning him into an ideal choice for this significant role.

Duke as Ambassador for Responsible Tourism, UNWTO, will aggressively help the mission of UNWTO to encourage responsible and sustainable tourism practices. He will work carefully with the Group to promote the importance of tourism in nurturing financial growth, safeguarding cultural heritage, and shielding the environment.

Launched by UNWTO, the “Tourism Open Minds” campaign was introduced on the World Tourism Day with a target to encourage inclusive and sustainable tourism by nurturing discussions, understanding, and respect among local communities and travelers. It inspires travelers to hold close diverse traditions,
cultures, and viewpoints, while stressing the positive impact of tourism as well on local environment and economies.

Stating his eagerness for the new position, Winston Duke explained that he is deeply grateful to be a part of the United Nations World Tourism Organization as an Ambassador. To engage in expedition, to travel is the act of opposing the truth…in that truth, they see that they are so much more alike than they are
different. If travel is a connection, then tourism is the engineer.
