Wizz Air is significantly enhancing its European network for the summer 2026 season, with the launch of a new daily route to Palma de Mallorca, an increase in its Tel Aviv services, and the addition of six exciting new destinations from London Luton. These expansions are designed to cater to the growing demand for leisure travel, providing passengers with more options, flexibility, and access to popular holiday spots. By strengthening its presence at both Milan Malpensa and London Luton airports, Wizz Air aims to improve connectivity, offer more competitive travel choices, and solidify its position as a leading low-cost carrier in the region.

Wizz Air has unveiled exciting expansion plans at its key hubs in Milan Malpensa and London Luton, marking a strong push for increased leisure connectivity, enhanced operational efficiency, and punctuality as the airline prepares for the busy summer 2026 season.

Milan Malpensa: New Daily Palma de Mallorca Service and Increased Tel Aviv Frequency

At Milan Malpensa Airport, Wizz Air is set to launch a new daily service to Palma de Mallorca starting on May 11, 2026. This route will be operated with the airline’s modern Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering travelers more options to connect Northern Italy with one of the Mediterranean’s top vacation hotspots.

Additionally, Wizz Air will significantly ramp up its operations on the Malpensa–Tel Aviv route, doubling the flight frequency from seven to 14 weekly departures starting in the summer of 2026. This move comes in response to high demand and aims to enhance flexibility for passengers traveling between Italy and Israel, providing twice-daily services between the two cities.

Since the beginning of 2025, Wizz Air has been steadily increasing its presence at Milan Malpensa, operating nearly 20,000 flights and carrying over 4.1 million passengers. This represents a growth of almost 19% year-on-year, with passenger numbers climbing by 27%. The airline’s performance has also seen notable improvements, including a near-perfect completion rate of 99.6% and a 16% improvement in on-time departures. As the third-largest carrier at the airport, Wizz Air currently operates 42 routes to 21 countries, with seven destinations in Spain alone.

London Luton: Six New Routes and Expanded Fleet

In the UK, Wizz Air is expanding its operations at London Luton Airport, bolstered by the acquisition of airport slots from TUI Airways. This move will see the airline add another Airbus A321neo to its fleet, bringing the total number of Wizz Air aircraft based at Luton to 15. With this increase, Wizz Air cements its position as the largest carrier at the airport.

Beginning in Summer 2026, Wizz Air will launch six new routes from London Luton to Yerevan, Alicante, Lyon, Corfu, Faro, and Turin. The new services are designed to strengthen the airline’s leisure offering, catering to a variety of popular European destinations. Alicante will be served five times weekly, while Faro will have four weekly flights.

A standout addition to the network is Yerevan, marking Wizz Air’s first nonstop connection between the UK and Armenia. The new route to Yerevan will operate twice a week, starting on June 12, 2026. The airline is also expanding its Greek island offerings, with Corfu added to the schedule. This will bring the total number of Greek islands served from Luton to five, alongside Chania, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Zakynthos.

Routes to Lyon and Turin will be offered year-round, ensuring that travelers have access to these destinations not just during peak summer, but throughout the year.

Here’s a breakdown of the new routes and their frequencies:

By Summer 2026, Wizz Air will offer flights to 66 destinations from London Luton, further strengthening its position as a leading low-cost carrier in the region. This network expansion is part of the airline’s wider £12 billion “Customer First” transformation plan, aimed at improving customer experience and expanding its reach across Europe and beyond.

Wizz Air is expanding its network for the summer 2026 season, adding a daily Palma de Mallorca route, doubling Tel Aviv services, and launching six new UK destinations. These moves aim to meet growing leisure travel demand and enhance connectivity at Milan Malpensa and London Luton airports.

With these expansions, Wizz Air is continuing to cement its reputation as a key player in the European aviation market, offering travelers more options, greater flexibility, and access to an increasing number of destinations at competitive prices.
