Wizz Air marks milestone: 6 million passengers served from London Gatwick

Wizz Air, renowned as Europe’s swiftest-expanding and most eco-conscious airline worldwide, has proudly revealed that over 6 million passengers have chosen London Gatwick (LGW) as their gateway to explore more than 15 countries.

Celebrating this milestone, the lucky six millionth passenger received a warm welcome with a £200 voucher while boarding a flight from Istanbul to London Gatwick.

As the winter season wraps up, Wizz Air has been operating a robust schedule of 19 daily flights from London Gatwick, offering convenient connections to destinations like Athens, Istanbul, Nice, and Rome.

The airline’s presence at London Gatwick has seen remarkable growth, with over 2.8 million passengers flown in the past year alone. Notably, the number of Wizz Air flights departing from London Gatwick has surged by 19%, underscoring the airline’s commitment to expanding its services. Currently, Wizz Air employs a dedicated team of over 230 professionals at its Gatwick base.

In addition to its thriving operations, Wizz Air has recently unveiled its #LetsGetLost prize draw, promising an exhilarating journey to a secret destination for the lucky winners. Departing from London Gatwick on March 7th, this mystery flight is set to ignite a sense of adventure among travelers.
