Oman Air Takes Winter Travel to New Heights with More International Flights, Wider Networks and Enhanced Passenger Capacity

Oman Air is preparing to strengthen its international and domestic network with an expanded Winter 2026/27 flight schedule, introducing additional services, greater passenger capacity and improved connections across several important travel markets. Beginning on 25 October 2026, the seasonal programme will enhance connectivity between Muscat and destinations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Europe, Russia and Asia, while extending the airline’s reach through new and expanded codeshare arrangements.
The revised schedule is designed to accommodate seasonal travel demand, provide passengers with more convenient departure options and support Oman’s growing appeal as an international tourism destination.
European Network Receives Major Capacity and Frequency Boost
Europe will play a central role in Oman Air’s winter operations, with several established routes receiving additional capacity and more frequent services.
Zurich will experience one of the most substantial increases, with available capacity rising to three times the summer level. The airline plans to deploy widebody aircraft on as many as five flights per week, providing additional seats and greater comfort for passengers travelling between Oman and Switzerland.

Other major European destinations, including Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan and Istanbul, will also benefit from increased frequencies, with services reaching up to five flights weekly.
Moscow will see a particularly notable expansion. Oman Air intends to increase its operations to the Russian capital from four weekly flights during the summer to as many as eight per week throughout the winter season.

Together with the carrier’s existing network of 11 European cities, these improvements will provide travellers with a wider choice of connections and departure dates. The additional capacity is also expected to support inbound tourism by making Oman more accessible to visitors from important European source markets.
Singapore, Tashkent and Sochi Enter Their First Full Winter Season
The Winter 2026/27 programme will also represent an important development for several destinations added to Oman Air’s network earlier in 2026.
Singapore, Tashkent and Sochi will enter their first complete winter operating season, strengthening the airline’s presence across Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Russia.
Singapore will receive four weekly flights, offering travellers improved access to one of Asia’s leading business and leisure destinations. Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, will retain two services per week, while Sochi, a popular Russian resort destination, will continue to receive one weekly flight.
Maintaining these routes throughout the winter will help Oman Air broaden its international offering and provide additional travel choices for passengers connecting through Muscat.
The services also contribute to the airline’s wider strategy of developing new markets and strengthening Oman’s position as a regional gateway for international travel.

Larger Aircraft to Support Demand on Selected Asian Routes
Oman Air will introduce additional passenger capacity on selected services to Mumbai and Dhaka as part of its winter operational adjustments.
Both destinations will receive a weekly service operated by Boeing 787 aircraft, allowing the airline to accommodate more passengers on these particular departures.
The introduction of widebody aircraft will also give customers access to the onboard facilities and cabin experience associated with Oman Air’s Dreamliner fleet.
This targeted capacity increase reflects the importance of established Asian markets within the airline’s network and its efforts to match aircraft deployment with passenger demand.
By using larger aircraft on selected departures, the carrier can increase available seats without necessarily introducing additional daily frequencies.
Muscat, Salalah and Khasab Gain Stronger Domestic Connections
Alongside its international expansion, Oman Air will reinforce domestic services connecting Muscat with Salalah and Khasab.

Flights between Muscat and Khasab will increase to as many as four weekly departures, improving access to the Musandam region and supporting travel between the governorate and the Omani capital.
Meanwhile, the Muscat–Salalah route will offer up to five flights daily during the winter season.
The increased frequency will provide more options for residents, business travellers and tourists travelling between northern and southern Oman.
Improved domestic connectivity also supports the wider tourism sector by making it easier for international visitors arriving in Muscat to continue their journeys to other parts of the country.
These adjustments underline the airline’s continued focus on maintaining essential domestic links while developing its international network.
Lufthansa and SWISS Partnerships Open Additional European Connections
Oman Air’s winter network expansion extends beyond its own aircraft operations, with enhanced codeshare partnerships providing access to more destinations across Europe.

Through its expanded cooperation with Lufthansa, passengers will be able to connect through Frankfurt to Edinburgh, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Bergen and Billund.
Additional connections through Munich will provide access to Edinburgh and Wrocław.
The airline’s strengthened partnership with SWISS will also enable onward travel through Zurich to Gothenburg and Oslo.
These arrangements will extend Oman Air’s reach into cities that are not served directly by its aircraft, giving passengers more opportunities to organise journeys through established European aviation hubs.
For travellers departing Oman, the partnerships provide additional access to destinations across the United Kingdom, Poland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
They also create more opportunities for European passengers to reach Muscat and connect onwards through Oman Air’s wider network.

Malaysia Airlines Codeshare Expansion Strengthens Access to Greater China
Oman Air has also extended its existing codeshare relationship with Malaysia Airlines, introducing additional travel opportunities across Greater China.
The latest expansion includes Shanghai, Beijing Daxing and Guangzhou, three important destinations within China’s international travel and commercial network.
The agreement broadens the range of itineraries available to passengers travelling between Oman and Asia through the airlines’ combined networks.
Customers participating in the loyalty programmes of both carriers will also benefit from reciprocal recognition through their membership of the oneworld alliance.
Eligible frequent flyers will be able to access applicable tier privileges and travel benefits when using services operated by the partner airlines.
The development strengthens Oman Air’s connectivity with major Chinese destinations while expanding the value of its international airline partnerships.

Winter 2026/27 Schedule Supports Oman’s Wider Tourism Connectivity
The expanded winter programme reflects Oman Air’s efforts to improve network coverage, strengthen established markets and develop additional travel opportunities through international partnerships.
Higher frequencies to European capitals, additional services to Moscow, continued operations to newer destinations and increased domestic connectivity will collectively give passengers greater flexibility when planning journeys.
The use of larger aircraft on selected routes will also allow the airline to respond to passenger demand through more efficient capacity deployment.
At the same time, its growing codeshare portfolio will extend access to destinations beyond its directly operated network, strengthening connections between Oman, Europe and Asia.
For Oman’s tourism industry, these developments could help improve international accessibility and encourage more visitors to explore the country during the winter travel season.
Oman Air’s Winter 2026/27 flights are already available for booking, with passengers able to view schedules and fares through the airline’s official website and mobile application.
