In an age where the thirst for adventure is limitless, we are thrilled to feature an inspiring collection of women whose relentless determination, innovative leadership, and immense enthusiasm are driving the industry forward.

From groundbreaking entrepreneurs to forward-thinking executives and influential community leaders, these exceptional women capture the true spirit of empowerment within tourism. Let’s come together to recognize their significant impact and celebrate their accomplishments!

Zeus International Hotel & Resorts, a premier hospitality and hotel management company in Europe, values diversity as a key driver for its innovation. This commitment to variety enables the company to create unique, forward-looking concepts that reflect the distinct culture and environment of each location in its portfolio. The organization prides itself on a remarkable team structure, comprising 70% women and 30% men, with women making up 21% of its management positions.

Christianna, a trilingual expert with over twenty years in tourism management, boasts a rich background in collaborating with premier international hotel brands. Since her start at Zeus International Group in 2017, she has been crucial in positioning the company as a standout in the luxury hospitality sector.

Speaking about the company’s emphasis on diversity, Christianna Mavroidi, COO of Zeus International shares, “At Zeus International Group, diversity isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the cornerstone of our ethos and the driving force behind our innovative approach. We firmly believe embracing diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents is not only essential for fostering a vibrant workplace, but also paramount to our success in an ever-evolving industry. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we proudly reaffirm our commitment to championing gender diversity and empowering women in all facets of our organization. Their invaluable contributions not only enrich our business but also inspire creativity, collaboration, and excellence at every level. Together, we continue to break barriers, push boundaries, and redefine hospitality for a brighter, more inclusive future.”

Pulse Hotels & Resorts is making waves in the Maldives’ hospitality industry, setting new standards by promoting female talent and embracing diversity. Established in 2015, Pulse has led the way in innovation, reshaping the hospitality landscape and nurturing the advancement of women in a field historically dominated by men. The company’s commitment is evident in its diverse and dynamic teams, both on-site and in corporate roles, at the active lifestyle resort, Kandima Maldives, and its newer, soulful counterpart, Nova Maldives, aiming for greater female inclusion from the ground up.

Highlighting Pulse Resorts’ focus on female leadership, the career progressions of two employees stand out. Nashra Hassan’s rise from Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing in 2021 to Deputy Director of Brand Communication and Digital Marketing by 2023 demonstrates the company’s effort to acknowledge and develop talent.

In a similar vein, Hawwa Nazima’s journey within the Group Procurement Division from Manager Central Purchasing in 2021 to General Manager in 2022, and eventually to Director by 2023, reflects two years of remarkable career development, underlining Pulse’s commitment to fostering the careers of women.

Omicron Hotels, a family-run hotel collection situated in Crete, Greece, proudly upholds the tradition of authentic Greek hospitality. Created by founders Danae and Konstantina, their mission is to offer a heartfelt and unmatched guest experience, deeply influenced by their upbringing in the hospitality sector and the vibrant culture of Crete. Each hotel in their collection is unique, yet they all share a dedication to exceptional service, a testament to the family’s principles and Crete’s rich heritage.

Their portfolio includes the serene 5-star ACRO Suites, a wellness sanctuary perched on the Cretan cliffs with views of the Aegean Sea, and the opulent Seaside a Lifestyle Resort, an adults-only haven in Agia Pelagia, Crete. Both properties reflect the founders’ commitment to excellence, featuring amenities like private pools, diverse dining options, and a Cave Spa, all designed to offer a luxurious and rejuvenating experience.

Danae and Konstantina collaborate with local artisans and designers, paying homage to their origins and the natural beauty of Crete. This partnership ensures that the essence of the local culture and landscape is woven into every facet of their hotels, providing guests with a genuine and engaging stay.

Looking ahead, they are excited to introduce a groundbreaking hotel concept in 2024 that emphasizes sustainability, continuing their journey of innovation in eco-friendly hospitality.
