World Cup attracts scores of foreign travelers to NSW

John Graham, the NSW Tourism Minister said that up to now, the World Cup has attracted tens of thousands of foreign travelers to the state.


In excess of 1.1 million receipts have got sold for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New
Zealand. However, its welfares to the NSW visitor economy stretched far outside the seats in stadiums.


The contest is running from 20 July to 20 August this year. It is projected to fetched over 16,000 tourists to
Sydney and introduce over $21 million into the visitor economy of NSW.


John Graham stated that the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand this year will assist in
increasing the visitor economy of the state and generate employment.
