World Ski Awards 2024 honors global excellence in ski tourism, with Val Thorens and W Verbier leading the way in redefining innovation and luxury hospitality.

The premier global initiative celebrating excellence in ski tourism has unveiled the winners of its 12th annual awards program.

Among the top honors, Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort, earned the title of ‘World’s Best Ski Resort’ for its unmatched lift infrastructure, exceptional resort amenities, and luxurious slopeside accommodations.

Switzerland further solidified its reputation as a leader in hospitality, securing two prestigious titles: W Verbier claimed ‘World’s Best Ski Hotel,’ while Chalet Zermatt Peak was crowned ‘World’s Best Ski Chalet.’

In the category spotlighting new contenders, MUWA NISEKO from Japan triumphed over competitors in Aspen and St. Moritz to secure the title of ‘World’s Best New Ski Hotel.’ Similarly, Chalet Harmony in Méribel, celebrated for its unique combination of luxury, privacy, and prime location near the slopes and resort center, was awarded ‘World’s Best New Ski Chalet.’

The awards, determined after an extensive year-long evaluation of the ski travel and tourism industry, involved voting from both industry experts and ski enthusiasts. Winners were chosen based on the highest number of votes received in each category.

Switzerland’s LAAX, renowned for its boundless freeriding terrain, was named ‘World’s Best Freestyle Resort,’ while Ski Dubai received accolades as the ‘World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort.’

In travel and operations, Leo Trippi was recognized as ‘World’s Best Ski Travel Agent,’ Sunweb took the title of ‘World’s Best Ski Tour Operator,’ and Schneebeben was awarded ‘World’s Best Ski Transfer Operator.’

Hôtel Le Pashmina in Val Thorens, known for its exceptional facilities and direct ski-to-door access to Les Trois Vallées, was honored as the ‘World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel.’

The innovative integration of architecture and nature led to rocksresort in LAAX being named ‘World’s Best Green Ski Hotel.’ Meanwhile, Canada’s Northern Escape Heli-Skiing won ‘World’s Best Heli-Ski Operator.’

Compagnie des Alpes, a dominant player across Europe, was celebrated as the ‘World’s Best Ski Resort Group,’ while Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel in Austria earned the title of ‘World’s Best Ski Resort Company’ for its cutting-edge facilities.
