ZIPAIR Tokyo has revealed plans to augment its service on the San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) to Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) route by adding a sixth flight per week from June 1 to September 30, 2024.
“Since ZIPAIR made San José its first Northern California gateway in 2022, its combination of reliable service and great fares have been extremely popular among Silicon Valley travelers,” said SJC Director of Aviation John Aitken. “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with this unique carrier.”
The introduction of an additional weekly flight means ZIPAIR will offer daily service to Tokyo’s capital region from San José, excluding Tuesdays, during the peak summer months, enhancing connectivity with one of Asia’s largest markets.
“We are thrilled to announce the increase in service from San José Mineta International Airport, offering customers non-stop access to Japan, while opening more opportunities to travel between the two countries,” said ZIPAIR President, Shingo Nishida. “This year marks the first time the two nations celebrate the U.S.-Japan Tourism Year, which seeks to strengthen ties, boosting the economy, as well as exchanging culture. We sincerely look forward to welcoming even more travelers to experience our unique low-cost business model on the next trip to Asia.”
As a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, ZIPAIR provides a tailored travel experience aboard its state-of-the-art Boeing 787 fleet, featuring 18 full-flat seats and 272 standard seats. The airline enhances the passenger experience with complimentary inflight Wi-Fi and offers food, beverages, and shopping through a novel, touch-free mobile service.
