Edelweiss, Switzerland’s leading leisure airline, has announced the discontinuation of its flight services to Havana, Cuba, effective March 2025. The final roundtrip between Zurich and Havana is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, under flight numbers WK32/WK33.
The airline’s decision stems from two primary factors: a significant decline in passenger demand and operational challenges at José Martí International Airport in Havana. Following an in-depth on-site evaluation, Edelweiss determined that maintaining stable and reliable long-haul operations to the Cuban capital would not be feasible in the long term.

Passengers affected by this development will be personally contacted by Edelweiss or their respective travel agencies. Options for rebooking on alternative flights or receiving a full ticket refund will be provided, ensuring travelers can adjust their plans with minimal disruption.
Until the service concludes, Edelweiss will continue to operate its regular non-stop Thursday flights between Zurich and Havana, maintaining its commitment to providing quality service to its passengers during this transitional period. The airline extends its gratitude to customers for their understanding and regrets any inconvenience caused by this decision.
