Papua New Guinea is all set to attract greater number of tourists in coming days

PAPUA New GuineaA simple statistic says that the global cultural tourism market is valued at $453 billion, with more and more tourists taking around 277 million trips back in 2016. And it’s expected to expand. Every year, growth in cultural tourism is predicted to be 10 percent up the next decade.

 
The figures emphasize the possibility that’s on offer to Papua New Guinea if it grabs the chance to spend in a future with a clear target on luring niche tourists to the country.

 
Keeping that focus in mind, clear message from research by IFC and the Papua New Guinea Tourism Authority supported by the Australian and New Zealand Governments respectively. It highlights with the demand for niche tourism increasing slowly in abroad, both business and government should welcome this opportunity for Papua New Guinea to influence its natural, historical and cultural tourism assets.

 
It’s an initiation that would pay off. The research also emphasizes that creating niche market tourism has the possibility to drive annual visitor numbers from about 32,000 in 2016 to around 86,500 visitors by 2027, by aiming on cultural, historical, soft adventure, bird watching, and diving segments.

 
Also, clear message highlight that niche does not mean small. For example, few adventure travelers those who love camping, canoeing, cycling, fishing, hiking, kayaking or rafting and sailing, indulged in over 350 million trips worldwide in 2016 and in doing so are interested to part with a total of $470 million in pursuit of their favorite activities.
