To draw tourists in monsoon, MP introduces #BufferMeinSafar campaign!

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has recently introduced #BufferMeinSafar campaign with an aim to draw maximum adventure enthusiast tourists to its national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in the ingoing monsoon season, said an official on Tuesday.


Between July and September, as the core areas of the national parks and sanctuaries remain closed because of heavy rains, buffer areas remain open for where tourists can explore and take part in many activities like safaris, bird-watching etc, a MPTB release said.


In addition to the excitement of spotting different exotic species in the buffer zones, the different shades hues of spectacular greenery is a feast for the eyes, it said.


In the proposed sector, MP tourism is all set to bring back confidence by specially developing tour packages, comprising short road itineraries mainly for 2-3 nights, in the middle of the pandemic, the release added.
MP has six tiger reserves. They are: Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Panna, Satpura and Sanjay Dubri, side by side with 11 national parks and 24 wildlife sanctuaries like Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary and Chambal Ghariyal Sanctuary.


Madhya Pradesh is well-known as the ”tiger state” of the country due to the presence of 526 big cats.
