A record number of cruise lines are now basing their small expedition ships in Australia so to help travellers see more of our continent from the water and plan their adventure, Australia’s leading small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, has gathered hundreds of close-to-home cruising options in one place on their website.

Cruise lines such as Ponant, Tradewind Voyages, Aurora Expeditions, Silversea Expeditions, Azamara, and Windstar have all scheduled extended seasons of unique, in-depth journeys around Australia between 2021 and 2023, especially with international travel currently restricted. For many of the cruise lines, including Tradewind Voyages, Windstar and Aurora Expeditions, this will be their first full foray into the Australian market.

Australians are spoilt for choice like never before, with hundreds of voyages available aboard more than a dozen small, luxury, exploration ships so Cruise Traveller has created a special Close to Home Cruising webpage  as a one-stop-shop with all the latest sailings and offers gathered together for easy planning.

Most of the sailings are already selling quickly, underlining pent-up demand for cruising, a surge of interest in crowd-free small ships and a keenness to explore Australia in the current climate.

Designed to inspire more Australians to holiday at home, the Close to Home Cruising platform embraces all areas of our continent from the remote and spectacular Kimberley and the rest of the rugged West Australian coastline to the wildlife-rich islands and pristine landscapes of southern Australia, the wild scenery and premium produce of Tasmania, the tropical reefs of Queensland, the iconic riverscapes of the Murray and many other beautiful and rarely visited places right around our coastline.

The majestic sights of New Zealand and the amazing wildlife and ice wonders of Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic – accessed direct from Australia – are also featured on the comprehensive platform

Many of the voyages offer themes such as food and wine, natural scenery and indigenous culture and Cruise Traveller has also curated pre or post-cruise land and train journeys to enhance the exciting experiences on offer.A record number of cruise lines are now basing their small expedition ships in Australia so to help travellers see more of our continent from the water and plan their adventure, Australia’s leading small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, has gathered hundreds of close-to-home cruising options in one place on their website.
