Bali is sending tourists back to their homes, if they flout COVID norms

Bali is taking strict actions on tourists who are not abiding COVID norms. Of late, the authorities of the island have forcefully exited foreign tourists who didn’t follow COVID protocols. At present, Indonesia is dealing with a high rate of virus cases. Covid rules are in place for tourists as well as locals. Bali sent three foreign tourists from the United States, Russia, and Ireland back to their home after they were spotted without masks, according to reports.

Now, the island of Bali has a zero-tolerance policy, with authorities issuing a statement mentioning that the three visitors who broke minimum virus rules were sent back to their homes. A Russian woman, in another incident, is also going to get transported to her country since she tested positive, and refused to self-quarantine. She will have to leave Bali, once she gets virus-free.

On Monday, Indonesia reported 40427 cases, becoming Southeast Asia’s one of the worst hit countries. Also, the country reported 891 deaths in the last 24 hours. It’s crucial that travelers follow the rules in challenging times like this and not break COVID rules in any way, as it could result in a dangerous wave of infections and death.

By the recent wave of virus in the country, Bali has been less affected. One shouldn’t flout COVID norms as it could only cause the island getting affected immensely. As seen in the last year, Bali has had a total of 1648 deaths, with 56000 cases, and with the delta variant, the number has a possibility to rise even more.
