Jamaica to become the headline destination of the new Caribbean Showcase in London

On September 23rd, Jamaica Tourist Board will be the headline destination of the new Caribbean Showcase in London.

This event is created by the Caribbean Tourism Organization UK & Europe. It will bring buyers as well as suppliers under one roof and offer that change of business growth and learn more about the region.

It was arranged at the Leonardo Royal London St. Paul’s Hotel between 09:00-22:00. The main target of the event is to provide a full day business meetings and networking, culminating in a drinks reception and hosted three-course dinner.

Starting right from accommodation representatives, tourist offices, airlines, media partners, travel agents and tour operators registered to meet up.

The Jamaica Tourist Board will be the headline destination of the first edition event. The event will be highlighting increased Virgin Atlantic air services from London Heathrow from three direct flights every week to allow passengers to fly twice a week indirectly to Montego Bay via Nassau and a new direct Virgin Atlantic flight from Manchester to the vibrant Montego Bay. It will be introduced this November.

For the first time, there has been a scheduled flight from Manchester that will operate three times a week during the winter sun season.

To quote Elizabeth Fox, regional director UK & northern Europe, Jamaica Tourist Board, “This is an exciting time for Jamaica, there is a lot of development taking place and the increase in airlift is welcomed given the burgeoning interest in the island.”
