China has relaxed its COVID-19 restrictions for domestic group tours organized by travel agencies, said the culture and tourism ministry of the country.
Tourists can embark on cross-province trips held by travel agencies showing proof of negative test results. They are no longer subject to a previous regulation banning some of such trips with the emerging of COVID cases, said the ministry in a statement.
Travel agents were beforehand suspended from arranging group tourism tours linking a county that has reported areas with high or medium COVID risk, and areas outside the province where the county is located.
