Morocco & Israel: Making relation with tourism

On Thursday, the city of Eilat became prominent in many sessions organized at the Jerusalem Post Global Investment Forum in Marrakech, Morocco.

Matan Be’eri, the Deputy Mayor, whose family comes from Morocco, introduced the charms of the fifth-largest city of Israel to the conference attendees as Israel’s primary tourist city. Be’eri narrated the advantages of the city comprising its borders that they have shared with Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, along with the Red Mountains, the coral reef, cycling routes, the tepid and sunny weather and the several music festivals arranged in the city.

Also, he highlighted the fact that Eilat is believedto be Middle East’s most liberal tourist city. Be’eri also defined the city goals in terms of aviation, medicine, tourism, and innovation and urged participants of the conference to make collaborations between investors and countries to understand the idea and make history mutually.

After that in a tourism panel, Be’eri took part participated with Jalil Benabbès-Taarji, the erstwhile president of the National Association of Investors in Tourism, Morocco. Tamar Uriel-Beeri, Managing Editor of Jpost.com, moderated the panel.

Be’eri and Benabbès-Taarji shared one by one the features of Eilat and Morocco. Benabbès-Taarji highlighted the proximity of Morocco to Europe, its culture, and the hospitable people of Morocco.

Be’eri cited the prime attractions of Eilat, like diving sites, the Red Sea, luxury hotels, the shared borders with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan and the exotic desert.
