Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology stated that in the previous 9 years, India has become a lucrative medical tourism place.
This has turned possible due to various ground-breaking healthcare improvements and new provisions initiated by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the opening ceremony of the 42nd yearly meeting of the National Medicos Organization (NMO)
held at AIIMS Kalyani, West Bengal, Minister Singh said that earlier India was barely known for any
precautionary healthcare. However, now, India is acknowledged as the inoculation center of the world.
The minister also said that medical organizations can cooperate with the government for guaranteeing last-mile distribution of healthcare.
Jitendra Singh said that now it is possible to see patients from various other countries comprising
Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal, and also European countries visiting prominent hospitals together with
government hospitals in India for getting cured. All of them went back pleased since the treatment given to them is superlative as India boasts of medical services comparable to anywhere else in the world and that too at a much inexpensive costs.
