The third edition of the Luxury Dining Series offered by The Luxury Group from Marriott International has been officially launched. This is a large-scale multi-location culinary project created for redefining experiential luxury hospitality in Asia Pacific. Called “Across The Table”, this year’s program will happen between August and October, visiting some of the most exclusive properties in the region and ending with an ocean cruise on Luminara, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

However, this year’s edition of the Luxury Dining Series is much more than just a program dedicated to gourmet cuisine. Rather, this year it is going to be a new stage in the development of luxury hospitality narrative, when food, location and people create one unique story. The program will visit locations in Vietnam, Thailand, Maldives, Indonesia, Japan and finish its journey with a cruise trip.

A New Era of Experiential Dining in Luxury Hospitality

The Luxury Dining Series 2026 is structured around a core philosophy of emotional connection and cultural immersion. Instead of traditional fine dining formats, the programme focuses on experiences that allow chefs, guests, and destinations to interact in deeply personal and creative ways. Each event is built around immersive dining frameworks including Chefs [At The] Table, where chefs engage directly with guests in intimate storytelling environments; The Grand Banquet, which transforms iconic destination spaces into cultural dining stages; and Heirloom AM/PM, which highlights indigenous ingredients and heritage cooking techniques.

Additional experiential concepts such as Page to Plate, The Shared Memory Menu, Spirited Social, and Journey To Exceptional Taste extend the culinary experience beyond dining tables, incorporating books, mixology, masterclasses, and guided cultural exploration. This structured approach reflects a wider transformation in luxury hospitality trends, where emotional engagement is becoming as important as service delivery.

Vietnam Opens the Journey with Cultural Culinary Fusion

The series begins in Vietnam at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, a destination known for its architectural storytelling and coastal luxury appeal. Here, French and Vietnamese culinary traditions merge in carefully curated experiences that highlight both heritage and innovation. These experiences reinforce Vietnam’s growing position as a culinary tourism hotspot in Asia, where luxury hospitality increasingly blends with cultural identity.

Guests will experience reimagined French pastry concepts, heritage Vietnamese home cooking, and multi-course fusion dining shaped by internationally recognised chefs. The programme also includes immersive brunches, seafood-focused coastal dining, and interactive mixology experiences inspired by tropical botanicals and local produce.

Thailand Elevates Coastal Luxury Dining Experiences in Phuket

The journey continues to Thailand at The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket, where the focus shifts to the Andaman coastline’s natural abundance and culinary diversity. Here, guests will experience multi-chef collaborations, omakase-inspired dining, and immersive beachside banquets that highlight seasonal ingredients and Thai culinary craftsmanship.

The programme also integrates craft brewing, cocktail artistry, and destination-inspired bar takeovers that bring Bangkok’s modern mixology culture to island settings. Beyond dining, Thailand’s segment also includes sustainability-driven workshops and local community engagement initiatives, demonstrating how luxury hospitality is increasingly integrating cultural preservation and environmental awareness into guest experiences.

Maldives Redefines Oceanfront Ultra-Luxury Gastronomy

In the Maldives at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, the series transitions into oceanfront luxury dining experiences that combine fine gastronomy, wine culture, and contemporary island cuisine. Guests will experience multi-chef collaborations, Japanese omakase interpretations, Mediterranean-inspired menus, and curated wine journeys led by master sommeliers.

Each experience is designed to reflect the Maldives’ unique positioning as a global leader in ultra-luxury island hospitality. Evening cocktail programmes and sunset dining experiences enhance the emotional connection between sea, cuisine, and storytelling, reinforcing the Maldives as a key node in the global luxury travel ecosystem.

Indonesia Blends Nature, Culture, and Culinary Heritage

In Indonesia at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, the series highlights deep cultural storytelling through food. Set in the lush landscapes of Ubud, the programme integrates foraging, fermentation techniques, and heritage Indonesian recipes into immersive dining journeys. Guests are invited to explore Indonesian culinary identity through multi-chef collaborations that emphasise biodiversity, traditional techniques, and evolving regional cuisines.

Jungle dining experiences, wellness integration, and spa-linked culinary journeys further extend the hospitality narrative beyond the table. This segment highlights Indonesia’s growing importance in luxury experiential travel markets, where authenticity and nature-based immersion are key drivers of demand.

Japan Celebrates Precision, Heritage, and Culinary Craftsmanship

In Japan at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto, the series reaches its most refined expression of culinary artistry. Experiences focus on Kaiseki traditions, Edomae sushi craftsmanship, seasonal interpretation, and Japanese-European culinary fusion. Guests will experience structured tasting journeys that reflect Japan’s philosophy of seasonality and precision.

The inclusion of pastry artistry, teppanyaki performance dining, and cocktail craftsmanship adds further dimension to the experience. Japan’s participation reinforces its position as a global leader in luxury culinary tourism, where tradition and innovation coexist within highly curated hospitality environments.

Maritime Luxury Experience Extends Culinary Storytelling to Sea

The final chapter takes place aboard Luminara, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, where the culinary journey transitions into an oceanic luxury setting. Here, guests experience curated multi-course menus inspired by Japanese and regional Asian influences, alongside pastry showcases and cocktail storytelling sessions.

The yacht environment extends the narrative of the series into a mobile luxury hospitality platform, connecting land-based resorts with maritime experiences. This evolution represents a growing convergence between luxury cruising and high-end gastronomy, where hospitality brands increasingly operate across both land and sea ecosystems.

Future Hospitality Sector Impact and Global Experiential Travel Growth

The Luxury Dining Series 2026 is expected to have a significant long-term impact on the global luxury hospitality sector, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. It reflects a structural shift in hospitality where dining is no longer a service element but a central pillar of destination branding and guest engagement.

Key future sector impacts include:

  • Expansion of multi-destination experiential hospitality circuits
  • Growth of chef-led cultural tourism ecosystems
  • Increased integration of luxury resorts and cruise-based hospitality experiences
  • Stronger demand for story-driven, immersive dining concepts
  • Elevation of Asia Pacific as a global leader in culinary tourism innovation

As luxury travel evolves, programmes like “Across The Table” are shaping a new model where emotional storytelling, cultural immersion, and sensory engagement define the future of hospitality experiences. This shift is expected to influence future hotel development strategies, encourage cross-brand collaborations, and accelerate investment in experiential luxury infrastructure across Asia Pacific and global markets.

Marriott Redefines the Future of Luxury Dining Tourism

The third edition of the Luxury Dining Series highlights the leading position that Marriott International is taking amid the global evolution of luxury hospitality and experiential travel. The connection made between chefs, destinations, and guests in many different nations turns dining into an effective platform of culture sharing and storytelling.

By bringing together Vietnam, Japan, the Maldives, Indonesia, and Thailand in one program, Marriott is showing how luxury hospitality is developing into an immersive experience around the world. The introduction of Luminara is the way of extending this transformation into the sphere of maritime luxury.
