The time of Singapore travel is entering one of the most hectic times of the year, as the city of Singapore is getting ready for Grand Prix Season Singapore 2026. The Singapore Tourism Board has been working hard to ensure that the experience of visitors in the city goes beyond just the Formula 1 race. The official Grand Prix Season Singapore runs from 2nd to 11th October 2026. This schedule surrounds the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. The race weekend in October is turning out to be an occasion for tourism and not just a sporting event. There are many places in the city where visitors can have race-related experiences in areas like Orchard Road, Clarke Quay, Marina Bay, Suntec City and other precincts. There are a lot of reasons why visitors would want to extend their trip due to the Grand Prix in Singapore.

Grand Prix Season Extends Across the City

The 2026 Grand Prix Season programme includes new events and returning attractions designed to spread visitors across different parts of Singapore.

At Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, Orchard Paddock 2026 will run from 8 to 10 October, bringing late-night dining, live performances and open-air cinema to Orchard Road. At Clarke Quay, Ray-Ban presents: Beyond the Track will combine motorsport activities, shopping and entertainment along the Singapore River.

Marina Bay will host the Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 on 3 October, marking Singapore’s first appearance as a championship stop in Southeast Asia. Porsche’s Raceborn Fest will then take place at Guoco Midtown from 9 to 11 October.

These events provide international visitors with activities before and after the race itself, encouraging longer stays and travel beyond the Marina Bay circuit.

Indian Visitors Remain an Important Market

India remains one of Singapore’s established source markets, with the Singapore Tourism Board maintaining dedicated offices in Mumbai and New Delhi to support destination marketing across India and South Asia. STB’s current regional structure covers Western and Southern India from Mumbai, while its Delhi office covers northern and eastern India.

The Indian market is particularly relevant to Singapore’s autumn tourism strategy because the city offers a combination of short-haul accessibility, shopping, food, entertainment, business travel and family attractions.

For Indian visitors, an October trip can also combine the Grand Prix atmosphere with Singapore’s nature-based attractions, luxury hotels and established city experiences.

Mandai Adds a Nature-Led Dimension

Away from the skyscrapers and racing circuit, Mandai Wildlife Reserve continues to expand Singapore’s nature tourism offer.

The reserve now includes five wildlife parks — Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, Night Safari and Rainforest Wild Adventure — alongside newer indoor attractions and accommodation. Mandai’s visitor information confirms that Rainforest Wild Adventure is now open as Asia’s first adventure-based wildlife park, with Adventure+ activities incorporated into admission.

The development is particularly relevant to Singapore’s wider tourism strategy. The Singapore Tourism Board describes the Mandai rejuvenation programme as an integrated nature precinct combining wildlife attractions, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

For visitors looking beyond conventional city sightseeing, Mandai provides a different side of Singapore, combining rainforest environments, wildlife encounters and accommodation within a nature-focused precinct.

Luxury Stays Move Closer to the Rainforest

The Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree provides an additional high-end accommodation option within the wildlife precinct.

Its architecture and interiors are built around biophilic design, with rainforest-inspired rooms and views towards gardens and the surrounding natural environment. The resort also includes the Mandai Sanctuary Treehouse, which combines a private patio with views towards the reservoir and rainforest.

For luxury travellers, the location makes it possible to combine a stay surrounded by nature with access to Singapore’s central attractions.

This supports the city’s wider sustainable tourism strategy, which aims to develop Singapore as a City in Nature while encouraging tourism businesses to create products with smaller environmental footprints.

Contactless Travel Supports Regional Visitors

Singapore is also continuing to expand digital and contactless elements across the visitor journey.

The Singapore Tourism Board and Grab launched a three-month campaign running from August to October 2026, targeting travellers arriving in Singapore and encouraging them to explore more neighbourhoods through the Singapore Grab Travel Pass. The campaign includes ride vouchers and after-dark discounts at selected precincts and businesses.

The initiative is designed to encourage visitors to travel beyond the most established tourist areas and spend across a wider range of local businesses.

For regional travellers, app-based transport, digital booking and contactless payment options can make it easier to move between attractions, dining districts and entertainment areas during a short city break.

September Offers a Preview of the October Rush

The build-up to the Grand Prix is already visible across Singapore’s tourism calendar.

Mandai is running September programmes across its wildlife parks, while Rainforest Wild Adventure and the wider Mandai precinct provide additional experiences for visitors seeking an alternative to the city’s central shopping and entertainment districts.

Travellers arriving in September can therefore experience Singapore before the full Grand Prix programme begins, while those travelling in October can combine wildlife visits with the extensive race-season schedule.

The city is also positioning its events calendar as a major tourism asset. STB describes international events such as the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix as part of Singapore’s strategy to attract visitors through a diverse year-round leisure programme.

Singapore Builds a Longer Autumn Visitor Journey

The tourism program for the fall season in 2026 highlights how Singapore is expanding the experience of one of its most significant international events. It includes the Grand Prix event but provides an extended program of activities including Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Clarke Quay, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, top-class accommodations, food and drink. In addition, Indian travellers and others from Asia have the opportunity to have all of these elements within one holiday destination. In this case, the Grand Prix Season Singapore takes place from 2nd to 11th October, and the city has a plan to have a more extensive tourism program during the autumn season.
