Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Airport has been positioned as a premium gateway for Private Aviation after Machjet International was admitted to the invitation-only Air Elite by World Fuel network. Through the recognition, the Sunshine Coast-based operator has been placed among a global group of Fixed Base Operators that are required to meet standards for customer service, safety, facilities and operational performance.

Only four Australian FBOs are now represented in the network, while 78 facilities worldwide have been included. Through the membership, an international profile is expected to be given to the airport’s private aviation services. A more integrated service environment will also be made available to corporate operators, private charter clients, government agencies and international aviation partners.

A Global Standard for Private Aviation Hospitality

Membership of Air Elite by World Fuel is granted by invitation and participating FBOs are assessed against international benchmarks. At Machjet International, the recognition has been supported by years of investment in a purpose-built base at Sunshine Coast Airport. A multi-million-dollar FBO and hangar facility has been developed to provide technical capability and hospitality-led passenger service.

VIP lounges have been provided for travellers and crews, while direct tarmac access has been incorporated to support smooth aircraft transfers. Secure hangarage has also been made available and parking can be accommodated for aircraft up to Code C. Round-the-clock operational support is offered, allowing flight movements and service requirements to be managed.
